The Dallas Mavericks are a National Basketball Association (NBA) team that competes in the league’s Western Division. The Texas Rangers are a Major League Baseball team that competes in the league’s American League West Division. The Texas Rangers have been based in Arlington, TX since 1972. They have won seven division championship in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010, 2015, and 2016, but have never won a World Series Championship. The Dallas Stars are a National Hockey League (NHL) team and members of the Western Conference’s Central Division. The team was founded in Minnesota as part of the expansion in 1967 and later moved to Dallas in 1993. The Dallas Stars won one Stanley Cup Championship in 1999. FC Dallas is a Major League Soccer (MLS) team based in Frisco. The team was founded in 1995 as the Dallas Burn and it changed its name to FC Dallas in 2004.
