About Philip D. Ray
As a defense lawyer who is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Philip D. Ray is an exceptional advocate for his clients accused of violating the law. In the Federal Courts, Mr. Ray has handled Major Felony cases in the US District Court of the Northern District of Texas in Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Ft. Worth, and Dallas as well as Major Felony cases in the US District Court of the Eastern District of Texas in Plano and Sherman. (Including the trial of an International Conspiracy Case of the largest Online Pharmacy ever prosecuted by the Federal Government involving the distribution of controlled substances WORLD WIDE.)
In the State Courts, Mr. Ray regularly defends citizens accused of major felony crimes including Murder, Manslaughter, Aggravated Robbery, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Burglary of a Habitation, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Intoxicated Manslaughter, Indecency with a Child, and other accusations. Mr. Ray also serves as the defense lawyer for people on misdemeanor accusations of Family Violence, Driving While Intoxicated, or any other circumstance where his vast trial experience can be a benefit to the Client.
In 2015, Philip moved his office from McKinney Ave to his current office on Maple Ave and now shares space with some of the top Criminal Defense Attorneys in Dallas.

2010-2015, Philip left prosecution and formed an association with Patrick McLain, and Jeffrey King in our offices at McKinney Place: 3131 McKinney Ave #825, Dallas Texas 75204.
2002–2010 Misdemeanor and Felony Trial Attorney: Philip began his trial experience in Granbury, Texas as an assistant County Attorney. For nine years, he progressed through misdemeanor courts into felony responsibility across Texas moving from a small jurisdiction to larger ones and on to a county considered one of the premier places in Texas to prosecute, the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office. He established a strong work ethic and quickly earned the respect of judges, supervisors, colleagues and the criminal defense bar. He gained a reputation for being tough but fair defense lawyer in the courtroom. Philip was assigned a wide–range of cases, including misdemeanors, juvenile cases, grand jury case presentations and felonies of all degrees. From small quantity marijuana cases to murder charges, Philip has seen all manner of criminal accusations. He negotiated and reviewed thousands of criminal cases. Philip received invaluable jury trial experience at the felony level for more than Fifty (50) felony trials.
2000-2002 Philip worked as an intern in the Denton County District Attorney’s office, then as a trained mediator for several County Courts at Law while clerking for a private attorney in Dallas
